No. Many students benefit from individualized reading instruction without having a formal diagnosis. Every assessment begins by understanding your child's current reading abilities and learning profile. If Jeanie believes additional educational or psychological evaluation may be beneficial, she'll discuss those recommendations with you.

In relation to academic performance, customized curriculum will be structured to support performance on standardized testing and use widely accepted academic resources such as Harcourt, Reading Detective, Spectrum, Wordly Wise, IXL, Scholastic, and National Geographic.

Every student begins with Jeanie through the assessment and learning plan process.
Depending on your child's goals and learning needs, ongoing instruction may be provided by Jeanie or by another carefully selected member of the Exceptional Cognitions educational team. Every tutor is personally chosen, trained, and supported to provide the same individualized approach that has guided Exceptional Cognitions from the beginning.
If we believe additional educational or psychological evaluation may be beneficial, we'll discuss those recommendations with you.
